In honor of the 30th anniversary of the country’s independence, the debate tournament “ISN CUP” was held for the first time among students of grades 8-11 of the city’s schools.
The tournament brought together 24 factions, 48 speakers of Nur-Sultan. The tournament of the best young debaters of the capital was organized by the methodical association of history.
Following the results of three rounds, the “Daryn” faction of the specialized Lyceum No. 82 Daryn, the “Caps lock” faction of the Lyceum School No. 54, the “Damu” faction of the Lyceum School No. 8 and the “Miras” faction of the Mirzhakyp Dulatuly Gymnasium School No. 68 passed to the final stage.
According to the results of the game, the 3rd place was divided by the factions “Miras” and “Damu”, the second place was taken by “Caps lock”. The “Daryn” faction, which did not lose a single game throughout the tournament, received the main prize and the winner’s Cup.
Speakers of the “Daryn” faction Azhar Bolatbekova and Aruzhan Sailaubai, who scored the highest number of points, became the “best speaker”.
Resolutions on the topics of education and science, politics, and society were played at the tournament. The tournament was judged by experienced speakers of the student debate clubs of the city “Nomad” and “Zheti Zhar”.
– The final tournament of this year, held at the city level, was held at a high level. Debates give schoolchildren a lot of things. Therefore, I am sure that today’s tournament allowed the students to arouse interest in the debate and gain considerable experience, – says the organizer of the tournament, history teacher Meirim Ashu.
