Students of the Nur-Sultan International School met with a screenwriter, children’s writer, winner of the independent literary competition “Altyn Kalam – 2014”, winner of the prestigious literary award “Altyn Tobylgy – 2017” in the nomination “Best Children’s Literature of the Year”, author of the first national children’s and youth fantasy novel “Amina Turan in the land of nomads”, as well as two books of the patriotic series “My Kazakhstan” by the publishing house “Almatykitap baspasy”, a participant in the project “100 new names of Kazakhstan” Zaure Torekhanova and a journalist, editor-in-chief of the republican magazine “Aitshy, azhetai” Sandugash Nurkanova.
During the meeting, the guests told about themselves, about participation in children’s holidays, events to promote reading in Kazakhstan, introduced the children to their books, read their best stories and fairy tales, and had a fun interactive game.
The meeting was attended by both students and the deputy director for educational work of the elementary school, teachers-librarians, teachers of primary classes.
During the meeting, the editor-in-chief of the magazine “Aitshy, azhetai” Sandugash Nurkanova gave the students full information about the magazine and presented the students with several issues of the magazine.
“Do all children have grandparents?”, the guest, who started the conversation with a question, noted that the example of an adult is important in educating the younger generation. Sandugash Nurkanova made riddles for children, solved anagrams together with them. The guys who showed particular interest in crossword and anagram trying to be the first to decide.
And the children’s writer Zaure Turekhanova read to the students the fairy tale “A True Friend” about Nelly and Molly. Children enjoyed listening to an unusual fairy tale, with an interesting plot.
At the end of the meeting, Aliya Madkhalykova, Deputy Director for Education of the Elementary School, presented the guests with gifts and letters of thanks. In her speech, Aliya Madkhalykova expressed her gratitude to the guests, noting that every student should know about modern writers.
