At the International School, 1st grade students held an Assembly in honor of the 175th anniversary of the great poet, educator, founder of written Kazakh literature, Kazakh literary language, philosopher, composer, translator Abay Kunanbayev. During the event, students talked about the life of Abai, about the grandmother of the poet Zera and his mother Ulzhan.
The children watched the cartoon “Magic Books” about Abai with pleasure, listened to the poem “Gylym tappay maktanba”. In addition, students read excerpts from Abai’s poems that they had learned.
In conclusion, the teachers thanked all the children for the excellent performance of the works and encouraged them to always, reading the poems of the Great Abai, think deeply about the meaning of his words.
