Today, the final stage of the II International basketball Spartakiad, which was held at the Nazarbayev Intellectual school of physics and mathematics in Almaty, was completed. The competition was attended by 12 teams-winners of the I and II places of the regional stage of the sports competition among Nazarbayev Intellectual schools. These are teams of boys and girls from Nur-Sultan, Shymkent, Karaganda, Pavlodar, Aktobe and Uralsk.

The games were held in a friendly atmosphere. The games were hard and intense. According to the organizers, such events instill a love of sport and strengthen team spirit.

About 100 students of Nazarbayev Intellectual schools took part in the sports competition. Winners and prize-winners were awarded with cups, medals and special diplomas.

The first place among the teams of the youth League was taken by the team of the Nazarbayev Intellectual school of chemical and biological direction of the city of Shymkent. The prize-winning II and III places were divided between the NICHES of the Uralsk FMD and the NIS of the Karaganda CBD.

The absolute winner among girls was the team of the Nazarbayev Intellectual school of physics and mathematics in Aktobe. Having lost to it by only two points, the second place was awarded to NIS CBD Karaganda. The third place was awarded to the school IB of Nur-Sultan.

“I’ve been training these girls since seventh grade. After the regional competitions, we had a goal – to enter the top three, become winners and bring the Cup to our school. But the girls did the impossible. Of course, the fighting was very heavy. Here what was needed was a great mental attitude. My girls coped with it and even exceeded all expectations. They showed a very competent game,” – shared his impressions the coach of the winning team among the girls of Bazargul Sarymova.

The most distinguished athletes were awarded special nominations. “Best players” were awarded to Nurasyl Zhakanov from Nur-Sultan and Medina

Dyusembina from Aktobe, while both nominations “Best Central player” went entirely to Karaganda residents – Vladislav Nesvyeldin and Valeriya Sotnikova. Ali Suleymenov from Shymkent was named the” best striker ” among young men, and Binazir Sultankyzy from Nur-Sultan was awarded This nomination among girls. The” best defenders ” were Yerdaulet Ismanaliyev from Uralsk and Alina Borgul from Shymkent.
