On the eve of the Knowledge Day, our teachers held a staff meeting which was organized by the school administration and set the tone for the entire school year. The Deputy Principals used this first meeting to help the teachers establish and cement a yearlong focus including planning students’ participation in scientific research projects and subject competitions.

PYP and MYP Coordinators, who developed common assessment practices, discussed new updated policies and guidelines. The key was having valuable time to continue the collaborative processes with colleagues in their teams.

The School Principal, Mr.Bauyrzhan Uzakbay first extended a warm welcome to all newly arrived local and international teachers. He pointed out that, during the selection process, they all proved they are enthusiastic and results-driven professionals. Now our friendly team is looking forward to utilising their talents for the benefit of the school, he said.

It was also said, that recently we have expanded our workforce, now there are more teachers and students joined our community. We are pleased to note that the number of students willing to study at our school is increasing year on year. As a result, we have enabled 13 methodical departments to carry out their functions in different areas of teaching and research. Their heads were present and introduced at the meeting.

At the end of the event, Letters of Appreciation issued by the Board of the Centre for Pedagogical Measurements Assessment were given by the Principal to Ms Aliya Madhalykova, Ms Elmira Nurtazina, and Ms Enlik Gaziz for providing major help on trainings and projects. Also, Ms Zhanna Fedotova-Eremina, Ms Anargul Mukasheva, and Ms Galina Logunova were awarded similar certificates on behalf of the Educational Resource Centre.

The event was truly valuable, motivated teachers, and aimed at leading to improved student achievement.
