A literary and musical evening dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the outstanding writer, poet and literary figure Beimbet Mailin was held at the International School. The literary event was organized on the initiative of the association of curators within the project “Poets of the Great Steppe”.

6th grade students took part in the literary and musical event. First of all, our intellectual students listened to the information about the biography of Beimbet Mailin and reviewed his career. Next, the participants watched a video about the poet and witnessed new facts.

The musical and literary evening continued with a stage performance based on the story “The Sign of Shuga” by Beimbet Mailin. The poet’s poems and works, which vividly depicted the hardships of the poor, were published in the magazines “Kazakh”, “Auyl” and magazines “Aikap”, “Sadak”.

7th grade student Amirlan Erbolatovich and 8th grade students Dalnaz Tazhibay and Aru Bakhyt read excerpts from poems by master of speech Beimbet Mailin. 8th grade student Aldiyar Ermek presented the audience with “Balbyrauyn”.

The poet, who based his poems on the situation of the people and the lives of the poor, published a poem “Need” in the newspaper “Kazakh”. Our students Zara Mukhamedzhan and Sagadat Sheraly, who paid special attention to this poem by Beimbet Mailin, recited it eloquently.

In addition, 7th grade students Ali Zhakenov and Zhanar Toiganbayeva, 9th grade students Adilkhan Kairzhan, Kamila Arynkazy, Aiganym Zholzhaksynova recited the poem “Elim-ai”, which was published during the political turmoil.

The musical and literary evening, which acquainted our students with the work of the poet and gave information about his life, was of great educational value.
