Today the red carpet was rolled out at the entrance of the ISA’s Kindergarten where the camera flashes were waiting for its graduates yesterday morning. This was not at a Hollywood premiere. In this way kindergarten teachers simply welcomed the little ladies and gentlemen who took a walk to the music hall to celebrate their completion of pre-school. The event was a graduation ceremony of a group called “Raduga.”

Greeting the guests, Ms Zhanat Medet, the head of the Kindergarten, said, “We gave our graduates a start. It is just the beginning of the life that lies ahead of them. So we wish them and their parents to live a happy and healthy life.”

During the whole event the kids did a lot of singing and dancing. Also, together with some of the parents they were involved in a play-based activity. At the end of the ceremony all the 14 kids received their graduation diplomas from the teaching staff. Marking the occasion aimed to help them feel more comfortable with leaving the classroom and teachers that had nurtured them for the last several years.

One more recent ceremony was held today for a group of students called “Solnyshko” leaving behind the kindergarten at the International School of Astana. Members of “Solnyshko” shared their kindergarten experiences on stage and showed how good they are at acting, singing and dancing, how much they have benefited from various lessons throughout the last three years.

The ceremony was filled with joy and harmony built up by touching performances of little students including lower class kids who were bidding farewell to the graduates. The weather outside was cold, but applause and laughter soon warmed up the event. The toddlers sang songs such as the one about the Sun in English, performed a short play, and gave a poem recital.  The teachers presented their diploma and vignette to each child. Parents cheered, clapped and took photos.

Commenting on the progress of the children, one of the guests, Ms Olga Kovtunets, remarked, “Looking at the records of early parties we recall their first days in kindergarten and we see how much they have changed. For this reason, I know, all the parents here are willing to thank the teaching staff. Let me express our gratitude on behalf of them all. Happy Graduation!”
