On the eve of the new academic year in Astana on the basis of the “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools” autonomous educational organization and in the International School of Astana a republican seminar called “Renewal of the education content: the third year of training” was held.
In the audience met more than two hundred teachers who now work in pilot schools throughout the country.
In the program of the seminar – a collective analysis of the second year approbation of the renewal of education, in particular the results of diagnostic testing and monitoring. Nazipa Ayubayeva, Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools AEO, emphasized the role of principals and teachers in the implementation of the renewed content. Director of the Experience Translation Department Gulnar Balgabayeva informed about the results and prospects of broadcasting the experience in 2016 – 2017. Director of the Center for Educational Programs Zhanar Abdildina spoke in detail about the changes in the curricula of the primary school. Manager of the Foundation for Socially Important Initiatives Tatyana Nemtsan dedicated her report to the participation of teachers and students in grant-based environmental programs. The directors’ great interest was aroused by topical issues of criterial evaluation and professional education of teachers, as well as practical classes on effective management and positive psychology in education. Teachers worked out in detail the content of third-grade curricula, teaching-methodological complexes in subjects and short-term planning.
A series of seminars on the introduction of renewed content in the upcoming academic year began with the Astana seminar. So, on August 15-16, on the basis of the Nazarbayev Intellectual and Pilot Schools, the sessions of the August meeting will be held. It is planned that special attention will be paid to the renewed content in the 5th and 7th grades. On the basis of pilot schools, employees of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools will conduct trainings and master classes for teachers of the first and second classes on the specifics of teaching in an elementary school. In a special information and educational zone, all teachers will be given the opportunity to download methodological materials developed by AEO to support the educational process. Within the framework of the Republican August conference, an exhibition of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools is planned, at which the entire methodological base and training materials for methodological support of teachers will be presented. For example, in the System-Methodological Complex, more than five thousand didactic materials were collected, including medium-term plans and methodological recommendations for a formal and summative assessment of students’ achievements. For the teachers, digital educational resources have been prepared, which help to organize the educational process effectively.
Letters of appreciation from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan to pedagogical workers were presented by Kulyash Shamshidinova, Chairperson of the Board of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools AEO.
