Good news has arrived in the capital city of Nur-Sultan from Geneva, Switzerland, where the headquarters of the International Baccalaureate Organization is located. The branch of the independent educational organization “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools” has been authorized for the Diploma Program of the International Baccalaureate “International School in Nur-Sultan”.
For the past two years, all members of the school community have been working together to prepare. On November 21-22, 2019, representatives of the International Baccalaureate paid a special visit to the school. During the visit, the examiner got acquainted with the level of preparation for the implementation of the Diploma Program, focusing on the compliance of the institution with international bachelor’s standards.
During the two-day inspection, representatives of the International Baccalaureate highlighted the high professionalism of the teaching staff, school equipment, joint learning environment, conditions and conditions for continuous professional development of teachers, as well as open communication based on trust and respect between school, parents and students.
Two weeks later, the school received a positive response to the results of the visit and a letter confirming the authorization of the Diploma Program. Thus, the International School in Nur-Sultan is an authorized institution for all three undergraduate programs: Primary Years Program (PYP), Middle Years Program (MYP) and Diploma Program.
