In the competition of innovative school projects in the field of ecology and climate change among the high schools of the capital, the project of a 9th grade student Daria Petina entered the top 30 best works. The project supervisor is the biology teacher Balausа Ermenova.

In the competition, Daria presented the work “Accelerated production of chlorella biomass (Chlorella Vulgaris) for the preparation of dry feed additives in animal husbandry”.

“Finding the fastest and most effective method of growing chlorella and its further use for feeding livestock in Kazakhstan is quite relevant and appropriate, since, in addition to obtaining high-calorie and nutritious feed for use in arid zones, chlorella suspension is easily available for purchase in garden stores in the country. Any farmer has the opportunity to grow chlorella at relatively low prices, and in the future use it as a top dressing,” the young innovator shares.

Earlier, this work was also highly appreciated in the online stage of the Republican contest of scientific projects, and published by the leading republican media.
